三年讀經默想與題目 (草戊尚土) 090603


W3 2009-06-03 (王上2:1-2:46)

列王記上 2:8-9 在你這裡有巴戶琳的便雅憫人,基拉的兒子示每;我往瑪哈念去的那日,他用狠毒的言語咒罵我,後來卻下約但河迎接我,我就指著耶和華向他起誓說:我必不用刀殺你。現在你不要以他為無罪。你是聰明人,必知道怎樣待他,使他白頭見殺,流血下到陰間。現在你不要以他為無罪。你是聰明人,必知道怎樣待他,使他白頭見殺,流血下到陰間。

默想:主啊!大衛王臨終前交待所羅門王有關示每的事情,實在讓我覺得非常難以接受。大衛王對示每明顯是沒有饒恕,卻在表面上好像饒恕他。在臨終前卻交待他的兒子所羅門要子報父仇。主啊!這件事記在聖經上面,只是描述一個歷史事件,或是留下一個歷史鑑戒呢?

題目:你對所羅門王為了堅定國位所採取的手段有何感想?

  1. 王位的更替,不是在平和的情況,而是有所相爭時,似乎這種排除異己的事情,就會接續地發生。
    與牧師有同感,以前讀這段時,也會覺得大衛明明在示每辱罵他時,先反省自己,而且要大家不是怪他。怎麼事情過了這麼久了,在死前還交待所羅門要處理這件事?
    而所羅門處理異己的方式,也真的是善用智慧了,每一個都處理的冠冕堂皇,殺人具有充份的理由。這點與大衛不太一樣。聖經中,除了戰爭,大衛好像沒有下令殺過任何人,即使面對仇殺他的掃羅,他都不願意動手。為什麼他會要求所羅門作這件事?為什麼他的行事原則如此,卻不要求所羅門也如此?
    當押沙龍想奪王位時,大衛說『王對撒督說:「把約櫃抬回城裏去吧!如果上主喜歡我,有一天他會讓我回來,再看見它和安放它的地方。如果他不喜歡我,那麼,讓他隨意待我吧!」』撒下15:25-26。為什麼這樣的處理態度,沒有教所羅門,讓他知道王位是上帝給的,不是人可以自己奪得的。如果上帝願意,所羅門就可以在神的面前站立。~~嗯!真是不好理解的一段經文。

    的確,所羅門看起來是在執行大衛的遺命,令人不解的是大衛,他是懷恨在心呢?還是教所羅門如何鞏固王位?打從心裡覺得約押該死,卻又讓他在朝中當大將軍,真是恐怖平衡呀!

    大衛提到的約押所殺"不該殺之人"是押尼珥和亞瑪撒,其中並沒有押沙龍,可見大衛心中還是有一些"想法",執行公義是一個原因吧.示每的部份,就真的很"政治"了,有可能只是表面上原諒以示寬大,也有可能是要避免內亂而隱忍(不想激怒便雅憫支派).

    而亞多尼雅呢?上一章所羅門說的話還是可以用:"他若作忠義的人,連一根頭髮也不致落在地上;他若行惡,必要死亡。"1:52 雖然他還沒"做"甚麼就被殺了,但是他心裡所想的和當日押沙龍所行的惡(與大衛的妃嬪親近)並無差別...

  3. When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon (1Ki 2:1). He praised Solomon was a man of wisdom (2: 6; 9), and asked him to walk in Lord’s ways, and keep His decrees, commands, laws, and requirements. So he put Jacob, Shimei, and Adonijah to death because they were not loyal to David, the one ordinate by the Lord. He also removed Abiathar from the priesthood of the Lord, fulfilling the word the lord had spoken at Shiloh about the house of Eli (2:27).

    From these straightforward and forthright decisions, I find he is a king who was able to cut the Gordian knot. Thus, dealing with problems by taking forceful actions without shedding blood of the innocent enabled him to establish his throne.

  4. 照2:46之描述, 示每的死亡,好像與所羅門國位堅定的因素有關。示每看起來有些邊緣性人格特質─對同一人咒罵與俯伏;是否可能大衛不是或不只是為了報復、更為了堅固所羅門的王位?

    所羅門王是耶和華所喜愛的,先知拿單在他出世時給了他另外一個名字,叫耶底底亞,因為耶和華愛他。(撒下12:25)

    我覺得聖經並不會把人神化,不管是大衛王或是所羅門王,他們雖然是耶和華所喜悅的王,但是本質上還是人,大衛王臨終前留下了處決名單給所羅門,所羅門除了遵命完成任務之外,自己還加上他哥哥的名字,一個和他同父異母的親人。我想這裡的問題是在撒旦的誘惑下人性可否提升﹖為何一個虔誠的信徒(如大衛王)臨終前仍無法寬恕他人,甚至要求他兒子為他復仇﹖為何一個討神喜悅的子女(如所羅門王)仍為了權力殺了他哥哥﹖人性難道在宗教教誨下仍抗拒不了世界的捆綁﹖我想,這些問題或許還是有一個盼望,因為主耶穌曾應許了我們:『但你們可以放心,我已經勝了世界。 』

  6. Reading the Psalms written by David ( i.e. Ps17, 18, 21, 22, 68,and 69), we found that David had not really forgiven his enemies,all his life even till his death. Isn't he the one who wrote Ps 23? Isn't he the one whom God found after God's heart(Acts 13:22)? King of wisdom Solomon who wrote Proverbs and Ecclesiastes also knew not much about love
    of forgiveness. "Forget and forgive" must be tough for David and his descendent to learn. Thank God's grace for sending another David's descendent Jesus to show us the most excellent of love (1Co12:31).Jesus taught us many lessons of forgivness ( Mt6:9-14, 18:21-22,Mk 2:5,16:7,and Jn 21: 15-17). He even took a real action and showed us a perfect example. He not only forgave ,but also died for His friends (Jn 15:12-15)and His enemies (Lk 23:34).Only with Christ's love, we might be able to keep no record of wrongs (1Co 13:5)and forgive the ones we love or hate (Pr 17:9,17)when they hurt us.

    I enjoyed reading your sharings and discussions in this section. Here we could see various hermeneutics.
    Bible did record and reveal the ambiguity of humanity. Even someone like David and Solomon could not avoid such ambiguity...
