經文: 列王記上 8:24 向你僕人我父大衛所應許的話現在應驗了。你親口應許，親手成就，正如今日一樣。
默想: 親愛的主！感謝你是一位守約施慈愛的上帝，你向大衛王所應許的事，在所羅門王的時候就應驗了。上帝親口應許的就會親手成就。但是整個建殿的工程是經由所羅門王以及以色列百姓所獻上的金錢與努力才完成的。求主幫助我，能夠用信心抓住神的應許，用順服來完成神的應許。

題目: 你對於所羅門王獻殿禱詞的內容有何感想呢？
Solomon seemed to have the vision of a prophet, prophesying the Israelites would be captured (2King 17: 25) so he pleaded for God’s forgiving their offenses (1King 8:50). Yet the premise is that they had to repent, turning back to God with all their heart and soul.
回覆刪除Solomon is a lord of mercy. He thought about his people all the time, which can be seen from the prayer, “May your eyes be open to your servant’s plea and to the plea of your people Israel, and may you listen to them whenever they cry out to you” (1King 8:52). A leader who prioritizes his people is indeed worth respecting.

回覆刪除我想所羅門王不愧是一個有智慧的王，當上帝要賜福給他時，他不求富貴，不求復仇，只求有智慧來做出正確的決定。當聖殿建好之後，他的禱告也不是求風調雨順，國泰民安或是政躬康泰，國運昌隆，而是祈求耶和華赦免他們的罪並垂聽他們的禱告。
我想要讓聖殿要成為一個禱告的殿實在是一件不容易的事，同樣的要讓自己也能成為一座禱告的殿可能更加困難。
親愛的主，請您憐憫我，請您讓聖靈在我身上做工，潔淨我不好的心思意念，讓我能成為您喜悅居住的聖殿，教導我如何禱告，也請您能垂聽我的禱告，讓我學會順服，也懂得謙卑，給我信心來成就您的應許，也讓我能看見生命的美好。

回覆刪除聖殿完工了，所羅門王的禱告中說道：「神果真住在地上嗎？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足你居住的，何況我所建的這殿呢？」引導百姓認知--神是大過殿的！王所祈求神垂聽的禱告裡，還包括外邦人耶。又教導百姓「當向耶和華─我們的神存誠實的心，遵行他的律例，謹守他的誡命，至終如今日一樣。」
獻殿是個開始，建築的過程讓人經歷神做為的奇妙，完工之後人的行為才是真正「屬神之人」的見證。

回覆刪除We seemed to miss Yuze recently. Prayed that she was doing fine under the blessing and protection of our Lord.
This prayer of Solomon on the occasion of dedicating the Temple was quite long and awesome. It started with a praise to God who was incomparable and a God of hesed. He claimed the promise of God to his father King David and asked God to fulfill His promise. He recognized that though the Temple looked very fascinating and huge, but still could not afford to be the abiding place for God. Then he focused the purpose and function of the temple to be a place where all could pray and confess and ask for God's forgiveness. The all would include himself, all people of Israel, and even all Gentiles. This would remind me of one incidence in Jesus' life when Jesus went into the temple to drive out all those who abused the temple into peronal profit making location to the effect of excluding the Gentiles from the right to pray to God at this temple. Now HoPing church was under the process of reconstruction. I must confess that HoPing church seemed not to be a church of prayer. So please pray to God to inspire all of us to help building HoPing church into a temple of prayer.
