Handling Accurately the Words of Truth

經文: 提摩太後書 1:5 想到你心裡無偽之信，這信是先在你外祖母羅以和你母親友尼基心裡的，我深信也在你的心裡。
默想: 提摩太是保羅在基督裡所生下來福音的兒子。但是，上帝也藉著提摩太的外祖母羅以以及母親友尼基那美好的信仰，傳承給提摩太。親愛的主啊！求你幫助我，也能夠有美好的信仰，傳承給我屬肉身與屬靈的兒女們。
題目: 根據本段經文，你認為提摩太的個性為人，可能有那些軟弱之處呢？
“Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart” (2Ti 2:22). Paul was afraid that Timothy would go astray out of his impulse.
回覆刪除Besides, Timothy had to learn to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus (2:1). He might not be able to endure hardship like a good soldier of Christ Jesus, so Paul encouraged him to be faithful and to have a clear conscience (1:3).

回覆刪除保羅叮囑提摩太：「因為神賜給我們，不是膽怯的心，乃是剛強、仁愛、謹守的心。」(1:7)、「我兒啊，你要在基督耶穌的恩典上剛強起來。」(2:1)或許保羅認為提摩太可以更"勇敢"一些。

回覆刪除Sometimes, the elder people like to claim he is stronger than young people. However, I think the different personalities come from different environment, but not from age. Sometimes, the elder people can have more experiences for something which can help them have courage to do it. But, it still needs more time for young people to experience it. The better way to change the weak personality is to face it, confess it and experience the change.
