  2. The Lord regarded the exiles from Judah as good figs, Zedekiah king of Judah, his officials and the survivors from Jerusalem as bad ones. The Lord would watch over those who were still loyal but banish those who would not return to Him with all their heart.

We may think that living a smooth life is a blessing while encountering obstacles is a curse, which might be just the opposite. If a difficult situation enables us to be stronger, the adversity is a blessing instead.

May God help me be tough enough to deal with challenges in my life. The prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen!

  5. Dear All, Peng An,
I thought that the difference between those remained and those exiled was not in their location, but in their relationship with Yahweh. If the Lord clearly told them to go exile, then choosing to remain would mean disobedience. If the Lord clearly told them to remain, then choosing to go abroad would mean disobedience. When those remained decided to go down south to Egypt, Yahweh clearly told them to stay, yet they insisted on moving south, so they would turn into bad fruit...
