三年讀經默想與題目 (草戊尚土) 090415


W3 2009-04-15 (撒下18:1-18:33)

經文: 母耳記下 18:12
那人對約押說:我就是得你一千舍客勒銀子,我也不敢伸手害王的兒子;因為我們聽見王囑咐你和亞比篩並以太說:你們要謹慎,不可害那少年人押沙龍。

默想: 主耶穌,這個人比大將軍約押還遵重大衛王,不敢伸手加害大衛王的兒子押沙龍。約押雖然是大衛王的大將軍,他卻獨斷獨行,造成大衛王一生無法忘懷的傷慟。求主幫助我,在行事為人上面,能夠學習這人的榜樣,多多替對方著想,而不是只有考慮自己的立場。

題目: 你對於約押的為人有何感想?

    約押是個有謀略的勇士,隨侍在王的身邊又不能不提防的政客.

    違背大衛命令及心意地殺害押沙龍,拒絕亞希瑪斯想用比較溫和方式告知大衛的提議,約押不會不知道那古示人所帶去的口信對大衛所造成的刺激...咦?會不會約押根本就想讓大衛心臟病發作,他好篡位??

    如果我是王,我會留約押在身邊嗎?還是如劉邦'趙匡胤那般,把所有身邊"能將"都殺光?又,我日常生活中有無這種"高風險"的習慣?約押好比利器,好用卻危險.

    另外,約押看似忠心的行為(殺死押沙龍)讓大衛傷心不已,我是否有違背神的心意卻又自以為忠心的侍奉? 想-想-想!

  2. There are many stories about betrayal in Bible, one of which was Joab’s conspiracy to Absalom’s death. When Absalom attempted to overthrow David as king, it was Joab who was instrumental in defeating the coup, and it was Joab who personally killed Absalom, another of his royal cousins:
    Joab said, "I will not waste time like this with you." And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them into the heart of Absalom, while he was still alive in the oak. (2 Sa 18:14)

    He did this not out of righteousness but out of selfish motives. His complete disregard of David’s command showed the hypocritical side of him. David should have taken more precautions against Joab.

    約押應該很聰明,他曾透過一個婦人用一個寡婦的故事讓大衛饒恕了押沙龍;約押應該是效忠大衛的親信,他曾受命讓烏利亞在戰場上身亡以便大衛奪取他的妻子拔示巴;但是在今天的經文約押卻不顧大衛的命令,冷酷的殺了大衛的兒子押沙龍,在這裡有可能是他覺得大衛是個感情用事的人,不殺了押沙龍只會造成將來潛藏的危險,當然也有可能是他自己不喜歡押沙龍便把他殺了。總之,這個人有點像『沈默羔羊』裡面有殺人嗜好的精神病理學家--漢尼巴爾﹒勒克泰博士,很難猜透他真正的想法。

    親愛的主,請您讓我能成為一個言行一致的人,做人處事能遵守您的教導,不會因為一些試探而反覆無常,讓我能做您喜悅的事,而不是做我自己喜悅的事。

    Yeah, I would agree with you that Joab was a very complicated character in David's life.
    Sometimes in our real lives we would experience similar interpersonal interactions, and it was very tough to learn how to keep appropriate relationship with such characters in our lives...
