Deacalogues
W1 2010-10-04 (申5:1-5:33)
經文: 申命記 5:15 你也要記念你在埃及地作過奴僕；耶和華你神用大能的手和伸出來的膀臂將你從那裡領出來。因此，耶和華你的神吩咐你守安息日。
默想：原來守安息日還跟以色列人曾經在埃及作過奴僕的歷史經驗有關。當以色列人在埃及作奴僕時，埃及人不給以色列人任何安息日可以休息。因此，耶和華特別將守安息日訂為十誡中的第四誡。要以色列人記得讓家中的僕婢每週有一天可以安息，同時也記念耶和華曾經將他們從埃及為奴之地拯救出來。求主也幫助我，常常記念主耶穌將我從罪惡的捆綁中拯救出來的恩典。
題目:以色列人對於耶和華的同在產生恐懼害怕的反應，你對此有何看法呢？

回覆刪除當時以色列人那樣的反應，不知是否和「西門彼得看見，就俯伏在耶穌膝前，說：『主啊！離開我，我是個罪人！』」(路5:8)一樣？看到神的大能，心生敬畏而自忖：「像我這樣的人，在神面前怎能存活？」
神並沒有責備以色列人這樣的反應，而是藉著摩西傳達「...惟願他們存這樣的心敬畏我，常遵守我的一切誡命，使他們和他們的子孫永遠得福。」(5:29)求主保守我及我的家人（特別是我的孩子）敬畏神的心，好教我們生活起坐言行受神約束。
Probably none of us have ever imagined the day when we can see God in person and speak with Him. But those Israelites did experience it, so they were scared in the very beginning especially with the blazing fire in front of them.
回覆刪除May I not fear when the Lord’s glory and majesty is shown to me one day! Furthermore, may I grasp the chance to go near and listen to what He says and then obey unquestioning. Prayer in Name of Jesus Christ~

回覆刪除"There is no fear in love: true love has no room for fear, because where fear is, there is pain; and he who is not free from fear is not complete in love." 1 John 4:18
God is love, but it seems difficult to experience this complete love. The history of the Israelite people seemed to also reflect our own personal life history. When we cannot experience God's love, we always created another idol as our love. This behvaior will cause the fear of God for the sake of betray. May Lord help me to keep the faith for your complete love.
