經文: 俄巴底亞書 1:13 我民遭災的日子，你不當進他們的城門；他們遭災的日子，你不當瞪眼看著他們受苦；他們遭災的日子，你不當伸手搶他們的財物。
默想: 當我們看見有人因行惡而遭受耶和華的懲戒時，要心存憐憫，為他們祈求上帝饒恕的恩典，像摩西為以色列人三番兩次四十晝夜在耶和華面前俯伏懇求一樣。我們不應該幸災樂禍，更不應該趁火打劫。

The Lord says, “You should not look down on your brother in the day of his misfortune, nor rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor boast so much in the day of their trouble”(Ob 12).
回覆刪除Esau is the brother of Jacob, but when Israel was in calamity, Edom did not give his helping hand. Besides, Edom was so proud that the thought of defeating others occurred.
“Anyone, then, who know the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins”(Jas 4:17). Arrogance and lack of compassion might be the two main reasons why Edom decayed.

回覆刪除God is Love, but why God still punished people. I think the main problem is people's pride and arrogance. If people is too proud, then he cannot surrender to God and always do someting for himself. It will become a disater if God cannot contain it. If people is too arrogant, then he cannot repect the other people to fell people's love. The world will have more and more wars if God cannot cotain it. May Lord help me to be more humble to You and others.
