經文: 列王記上 11:36 還留一個支派給他的兒子，使我僕人大衛在我所選擇立我名的耶路撒冷城裡，在我面前長有燈光。
默想: 上帝因為所羅門王年老的時候離棄耶和華，跟隨他的妃嬪去敬拜各國的神明，以致於決定將十族撕離，成為北國。但是上帝在公義的審判中，因為大衛王的緣故還是留下兩個支派給所羅門的後代。感謝上帝如此的恩典。
題目: 你認為羅波安與耶羅波安各自犯了什麼錯誤呢？

回覆刪除耶羅波安心裡的「缺乏安全感」沒有讓他轉向將政權賞賜給他的主，而是自己"想"辦法－做出了牛犢、讓非利未人供聖職。這一點有點難以理解，為什麼害怕時還要自己當神？
羅波安聽信「童子軍」（無影射之意），不尊重老臣的意見，也無憐惜百姓之心。所羅門老年的走偏，果然還是影響了下一代。
由以上二位，學習到：
1.越是害怕失去，就越要像雅各一樣"抓住"神－一切賞賜與祝福的源頭。
2.需要傾聽意見時，求神賜我智慧、幫助我做對的選擇。阿們！
Rehoboam rejected the advice given by the elders but followed that of the young men. Besides, he harshly treated the Israelites who might have turned to him but ended up in rebellion against the house of David to his day.
回覆刪除Jeroboam made two golden calves, afraid that his people would go up to offer sacrifices at the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem and likely revert to the house of David.
These two kings only sought their own interests regardless of the welfare of their people. They neither fulfilled the words the prophets had spoken to them nor cherished the blessings from God. This is indeed a good lesson of leadership.

回覆刪除羅波安可能沒有遺傳到他父親的智慧，但是卻認為自己有這樣的智慧，所以不聽老一輩的建言，卻聽從玩伴的餿主意，所以搞到以色列的分裂。耶羅波安應該是很有才幹的宰相，但是畢竟不是大衛家的後裔，而且耶路撒冷還在羅波安手中，所以學亞倫造金牛犢，要求百姓膜拜，並違反制度立非利未人為祭司，試圖打破以色列人的宗教信仰來鞏固自己的地位。
我想，人可能還是得學習謙虛，尊重老人的智慧，更要敬畏耶和華神，一旦驕傲到人定勝天，或許又是一個災難的開始。

回覆刪除Both Rehoboam and Jeroboam tried to handle their insecurity by using their own tactics without asking for God's guidance.
Young Rehoboam tried to assert his authority by refusing to listen to the petition of his people, and rebelious Jeroboam tried to grab his authority by refusing to respect the worship system.
