1.David always found strength in God and inquired of God whenever he was at a loss. Can I still have strong faith in God even when I undergo hardship? 2.David returned good for evil by turning to a slave of an Amalekite. In this raiding party, without the Egyptian, it wouldn’t have been a huge success. So no matter how petty or low you think a man is, he still needs to be recognized and treated well. 3.“You must not do that with what the Lord has given us. All will share alike.” (1 Samuel 30:23) David emphasized equal sharing of the plunder between those who offer rear service and who stay in the front line. He even made this a statute and ordinance for Israel from then on. People who keep low-profile or voice less make contributions as well.
Dear all, Peng An, The story of Ziklag was very precious to all of us, as we could see from your sharings. Ziklag for David was the nadir of his spiritual journey. He suffered serious loss and defeat. All his followers turned against him. Yet, his faith in Yahweh help him through... On the way of pursuing his enemy, he was willing to spend his time to take care of that young Egyptian slave, who turned out to be very helpful to his battle. He resisted the selfish claim of those soldiers and insisted that those stayed behind should have an equal share...

大衛不是完人,但被神稱為"a man after my own heart"(撒上13:14),真是有許多值得我們學習的地方.
