Locust Disaster
W5 2010-09-17 (珥1:1-2:17)
經文: 約珥書 2:13 你們要撕裂心腸，不撕裂衣服。歸向耶和華你們的神；因為他有恩典，有憐憫，不輕易發怒，有豐盛的慈愛，並且後悔不降所說的災。
默想: 當耶和華的日子來臨時，是耶和華彰顯他的權能，以及公義審判的日子。他要我們撕裂心腸，而不只是撕裂衣裳。要真心悔改，而不是表面文章。耶和華在公義審判的當中，還在等候我們的悔改，好施恩典與憐憫給我們，並且停止或收回所有的災難。
題目：你對於這段經文中，有關於耶和華的日子的描述，有何感想呢？

回覆刪除That’s why the Lord came to Joel, asking him to call for the repentance of people in Judah. God will definitely repay the sinners a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Yet as long as the rebellions can return to the Lord, He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing (2:14).

回覆刪除「哀哉！耶和華的日子臨近了。這日來到，好像毀滅從全能者來到。糧食不是在我們眼前斷絕了嗎？歡喜快樂不是從我們神的殿中止息了嗎？穀種在土塊下朽爛；倉也荒涼，廩也破壞；因為五穀枯乾了。」(1:15-17)
世界上天災頻傳，好像我們習慣以「不要稱之為上帝的審判」較"人道"的說法來面對，但讀舊約時，很難把「災難」與「上帝的管教」分離，「你們要撕裂心腸，不撕裂衣服。歸向耶和華─你們的神；因為他有恩典，有憐憫，不輕易發怒，有豐盛的慈愛，並且後悔不降所說的災。」(2:13)
許多天災是人禍釀成的，透過今天的經文來看世界，還是不會指著災民說：「要悔改」，但我們是應該以「撕裂心腸、歸向耶和華我們的神」的態度自處於末後的世代。

回覆刪除"Let your hearts be broken, and not your clothing, and come back to the Lord your God: for he is full of grace and pity, slow to be angry and great in mercy, ready to be turned from his purpose of punishment."
I think "that day" is the day to decide one man to belong love or without love. If the man cannot break his heart and back to love, that day will be dark with lots of army covering the mountains. If the man can return to Lord with love, the promise from Lord is full of grace and pity. May Lord keep my will to follow You without any doubt.
